NO MORE BACK-ACHE !

New effective therapy for backache, stiff shoulders and necks, knee, feet and hand problems…..

With ALIGNMENT THERAPY

A gentle method of moving bones and adjusting joints while fully clothed which has been developed and practised by Ann Evans for 10 years.

People are amazed how quickly their symptoms vanish, sometimes within minutes.

Many find relief also from other symptoms such as headaches, vertigo, epilepsy, incontinence, sciatica, lumbago, aching legs, tingling in the hands and feet and many others.

The cause of these ailments can be that the bone structure has become mis-aligned and so, as well as pain in the area, there is tension in the muscles and the circulation of the blood and lymph is not as it should be.

If you have any of these problems, treatment can relieve them.

Some examples of how people have been helped by Alignment Therapy.

Jack was 12 years old. He twisted his knee playing rugby. Gradually the pain affected the whole of his leg and he was given crutches as it was too painful to put the foot to the ground. Every part of his leg was in considerable pain so that he was unable to sleep much. He was thought to have a rare bone disease and was due to have a operation on his knee.

He went to see Ann Evans for Alignment Therapy while waiting for the operation. She examined his whole body and discovered that his head was higher on one side, his neck bones were crooked, one shoulder was higher than the other, his back was curving to one side and his pelvis was tilted.

When he was 6, a bar had fallen on his head during a school nativity play; it then slipped down onto his shoulder He had severe headaches afterwards for which there was no treatment except painkillers. He was told that he must be brave and put up with the headaches.

Ann started by adjusting his head so that the bones were level on the top of his skull; this was done by gently lifting up the cranium on the side of Jack’s head that had been hit. She adjusted the bones in his neck; this was done by gently holding the bones that needed to be adjusted with the finger tips while Jack moved his head till the right position was reached. Jack said that at this point his head felt lighter and that his headache was not there any more.

Ann then aligned his ribs, vertebrae and shoulder blades; all these movements were done gently while Jack breathed out: this helped him to be more relaxed. His collar bones also needed adjustments, as did his breastbone.

Ann then adjusted Jack’s pelvis and he felt much straighter. She felt that it was probable that the uneven balance of his body had caused uneven pressure on his legs so that one knee would inevitably be taking more strain than the other. The twisted knee was almost waiting to happen.

Since it was too painful to touch Jack’s leg and knee, Ann decided to leave it for a week to see the effect of all the other adjustments. Meanwhile, she suggested that each day, Jack and his father go to the jacuzzi part of the swimming pool to work Jack’s leg gently under water and encourage it to bend a little more each time with Hypertonics – a method of releasing tight muscles.*

Over the weeks, Jack’s leg improved until he was walking with no crutch. As soon as it was possible to touch his knee, Ann adjusted the bones in it and he was soon running again.

No operation was needed.

Jack has only needed to return for very occasional adjustments to his neck as his body grows to make sure that it continues to remain straight. He himself becomes aware when this is needed; sometimes he can make the adjustment himself.

Lucy’s story.

Lucy was 9. She wanted to ride a bike but felt unbalanced. She held her head on one side much of the time. Ann examined her and found that one side of her ribs were higher than the other.

Lucy’s mother explained that Lucy had not been able to walk until she was two. She was probably right not walk with her balance so impaired by the unlevel ribs.

Ann adjusted her ribcage so that it was level ; this was done by gently pushing up the side that was lower and down on the side that was higher while Lucy breathed out to help her relax.

She felt different and odd at first but gradually found that she stopped feeling unbalanced and learnt to ride a bike. She also started climbing trees which she had never dared to do before and she stopped having her head on one side as well.

This adjustment gave Lucy more confidence to do things she always felt she couldn’t do before: her body knew instinctively that something was amiss.
